The Storm Insurance Group is made up of several insurance operations in Canada. Storm Insurance Holdings Inc., is owned by Jamie Reid Family Trust (2010) and its employee group. Storm Insurance Holdings Inc. exclusively owns and operates A.P. Statement on Services Provided
Our role is to provide you with the best insurance value that combines coverage, service and price. We also provide personalized, quality service that includes professional insurance advice, ongoing policy maintenance and claims support. When any issue arises regarding your insurance coverage, we are your advocate, using our professional experience to best represent your individual interest. In addition, we provide many policy administration functions to our insurers.
How we get Paid for our Services
ZipSure Insurance Brokers Ltd. is paid a commission fee between 25% to 35% to service and broker tenant policies. This commission covers admin fees, such as banking and transaction fees, and numerous policy services that ZipSure provides for the insurance companies.
From time to time, we will be offered a sales incentive by our insurers to encourage us to grow our portfolio with them. These incentives may include:
- An overall sales bonus to the brokerage based on our growth with this carrier. These bonuses can range from .5% to 1% of the amount of growth.
- Incentives or rewards to our staff provided directly by the insurer, such as a nominal gift card.
- Inclusion of our brokerage in a planning council or other strategic event where we are given the opportunity to provide our insight and feedback directly to the insurer senior executive.
Contingent (Profit) Commission
In order for us to maintain strong relationships with quality insurers, we work with each to provide the type of business they desire. Our insurers recognize our efforts through a Contingent Commission contract. Payment of this Contingent Commission depends on a combination of growth, profitability (loss ratio), volume, retention and increased services that we provide on behalf of the Insurer. Brokerage compensation is part of your insurance premium. ZipSure Insurance Brokers Ltd. is paid a commission or fee for our services to you. Fees are paid to ZipSure Insurance Brokers Ltd. by clients, in lieu of commission.
Should there be an increase in the commission schedule we receive from your insurer, or any other material change that affects compensation arrangements, we will notify you.
